artist: Georges Seurat
title: a Sunday afternoon on the island of la grande latte date: 1884 medium: painting location: the art institute of Chicago the main reason why I picked this artwork is because of the movie Ferris bueller's day off and I remember the art from it. my artwork was a birdhouse made out of licence plates it was a long process and the floor screws kept wanting to go through the floor on the inside
this was not my plan to do this project but my mom wanted to do it so we did it. the hearts turned out good and I got a lot of good feedback on padlet
landscape/seascape/cityscape
for Explore and Develop I decided to use graphite to make my cityscape i'ma draw london cityscape my art is a angry looking duck the media I used was watercolors
it took a little bit to get the head right I couldn't find a artist who draws a lot of ducks the inspiration for the artwork was when we first started the unit and I was thinking of what to bring so when I was looking for something to bring I saw the duck and thought that was a good idea the media choice was because I thought the watercolors would make the water look more realistic and I didn't research any new techquecs pen and ink oil pastel tempera water color So far, I kinda liked them all. I probably wouldn't use the pen and ink because it's messy and requires lots of dipping. I liked the oil pastel because you can mix everything together and you get some really nice colors.
